Introducing The Lamp Pod A Smart Motion Sensor Night Light – Review

Reviews Technology & Gadgets Travel Products

AD – Review. With the energy prices going sky high recently we have decided to consciously make a few changes on various electric devices like our TV which we decided to unplug when not in use or keeping the toilet light on all night in case one of the children have to go. Helping us with the switch are some pretty genius smart motion sensor night lights called The Lamp Pod which we have been send to review.

What Is The Lamp Pod?

Elegant modern design, combined with excellent functionality. Wireless, motion sensor, soft lighting its defiantly the perfect nightlight.

The installation couldn’t be any more simple thanks to the adhesive tape behind the base you don’t need to drill any holes (which is always a bonus) and the 2 magnets on the lamp pod connect with a build in magnet strip on the wooden base for easy attachment:

What Is The Motion Sensor?

The Smart Motion Sensor allows the Lamp Pod™ to turn itself on at night without you needing to press a button. It will also preserve its battery by turning off after 10 seconds of you leaving the area.

You also have the ability to switch off the sensor, if you prefer to manually turn the lamp on and off which is what we opted for with one of the lamp pods which we installed right next to Finn’s pillow inside his high sleeper bed so he can take it off the base and turn it on when he has to head down his bed and up the stairs to the toilet in the middle of the its

Is the Lamp Pod™ Wireless?

Yes, you won’t need any additional batteries. The Lamp Pod has been designed to be most sustainable as possible. So you will get around 20 days of use without needing to charge it.

You will get a USB-C charging cable with the Lamp Pod™ and it also has a charging indicator to show when it has completed its charging cycle.

Our Thoughts on the Lamp Pods?

I think its a genius idea and it has lots of great features firstly the wood on the lamp makes it an actual nice feature in our upstairs hallway. It’s super easy to take off and reattach to the base thanks to the build in magnets. You can charge it via the USB cable which comes in the box. Our favourite feature has to be the motion sensor which automatically turns on the light whenever you walk nearby in the dark and switches itself off after 10 seconds of you leaving the area which we use for the lap pod who we installed upstairs in between Molly-May’s bedroom and the toilet. On the Lamp Pod in Finn’s room we opted to keep it turned off so he can turn it on himself when and if needed.

Each Lamp Pod has a size of 18cm x 2.5cm which is a great size to take away camping for the summer. We are actually glamping at a Llama Farm in July for a family wedding so we can defiantly going to pack the lamp pods for that occasion.

I also love the mission of the Lamp Pod founders which I would like to share with you:

“We are passionate about our Lamp Pod™, and in creating luxury lighting combined with practicality to help reduce energy usage, and prevent traditional non-disposable battery use, which damages our environment through the inability to recycle.”

The Lamp Pod comes with a year warranty and free delivery from the UK. A single Lamp Pod costs £29.99 but you can get a discount if you buy them in multipacks and they come in two colours ash and walnut.

Head on over to the Lamp Pod website where you can check out some more information.

Disclaimer: I have been sent two Lamp Pods for reviewing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are mine.
