Who wouldn’t love a cleaner to do the housework for you? My parents use to have one for about 10 years before there downgraded houses and I always thought it’s a proper luxury (which for my Mum it defiantly was). So when I was contacted by Zigma to ask if I would like to test out their brand new smart vacuum cleaner I thought Christmas came early! A robot who does work for me with a push of a button on my phone whilst I lay upstairs in bed thats the dream right? Dont get me wrong I still need to make sure that no Lego or toys are left in Ziggy’s way but other then that I just leave him to it!
What included with the Zigma Spark 980 Robot Vacuum Cleaner?
You will receive the Zigma Robot together with the charging base and adapter, a spare filter plus 2 spare side brushes, the remote, and a cleaning brush. Alongside the manual there is also a quick guide and the Zigma app instructions. Setting up the Zigma was pretty straight forward I only had to attach the 2 side brushes remove the safety film and set up the charging base with the adapter and let it charge for 6 hours so it’s all steam ahead! In the meantime I downloaded the app and connected the Hoover with the app so its ready to use once fully charged.
Setting up the App and using the Hoover for the first time!
I love a bit of a gadget so I was eager to get Ziggy straight to work (yes I have named my robot Hoover!) downloading the app and setting it all up, like adding all the rooms took me around 10 minutes. I decided to let the Hoover drive around all of the rooms downstairs first of all to make him familiar to his new surroundings. I thought it would be handy to save up the layout in his card because with this clever little machine you can add cleaning zones to the rota to avoid things like animal food bowls or other sensitive obstacles! You can either push the button on the Hoover itself or via your app to start the cleaning process. Oh and it also works with Alexa which is pretty cool (although I haven’t tried that out yet)!
What are the Specs for the Zigma Spark 980 Robot Vacuum Cleaner?
Lets talk specs!!There is the All in one App so you can schedule cleaning, view a real-time cleaning report, adjust suction level, manually move the Spark around and share control with your family.
As I mentioned above Zigma has Real-time Mapping it means the navigation system creates a real-time map which directs the spark to handle the large and complex space without missing or repeating the jobs. You can also Set the boundary – Place a “virtual wall” on the Zigma app or a physical boundary sticker and the Spark will instantly know where not to go. This will help to avoid those no-go areas such as pet food, toys or loose cables.
It has an Auto Dock and Recharge so you don’t need to babysit its work. Once the battery power gets too low the Seeker will find the charging dock and recharge all by itself.
Disclaimer: I have been sent a Sigma Spark 980 robot Hoover for reviewing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are mine.
