Nearly one year ago we have been sent some school shoes from Treads for Finn to put through their paces to see if their indestructible guarantee is as durable as they promised it will be! I have promised you all that I will post an update and after a whole school term has been and gone I thought its about time! It is every parents dream to not having to worry that their kid comes home a few months into the term with loose stitching, loose soles or even worse holes in their nearly purchased school shoes and Tread who are a fairly new school shoes company are here to answer your prayers to make your child’s school shoes strong and last for quite some time!
Just to refresh your memories on my initial review of his shoes Indestructible School Shoes from Treads for Active Kids #BackToSchool I have shared some pictures of him wearing them as well as some information about the fit and the quality of the shoes itself. Finn chose the Madrid model which is a touch fasten School Shoe which is designed and built for active boys I liked it because it had an additional protection on the toe which offered more durability. The problem with his past school shoes was that they always scuffed so easily on the front and looked shabby!
Its been 10 whole months of daily wear for Finn’s Treads School Shoes and they don’t show any signs of loose threads or too much scuffing on the front. Of course they do show a little bit of wear but seeing as they go through a lot of running, kicking footballs, playing tag and occasional climbing up some trees on the way home from school they look in amazingly good condition! I am a pretty bad mum when it comes to looking after school shoes and they have not once seen a black polish on them since we got them! So I might even give them a bit of a clean and polish before the start of the new school year to make them look all shiny and new again! Here are some comparising pictures from the front and side view:
Its nice to read a performance review on how the product in our case the school shoes is holding up and so I thought I also include Jennie’s (The Brick Castle) follow up review for you to check out too. She had the velcro tied Sidney model and the slip on Monaco model for her older son: Treads 1 Year Guarantee Put To The Test.
I am 100% certain going forward once he has his next growth spur and is in need of new school shoes in a size up Treads will be the only brand I will get from now on because they are so worth the £35-£45 price tag! They have also just released 10 brand new pairs of girls school shoes and you will be able to see a first look review on my blog this week!
How many pairs of school shoes has your child been going through over the school year?
Disclaimer: I have been sent this pair of Treads School Shoes a year ago for reviewing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are mine and I have not been asked to write a follow up review.
