Last week a group of Bournemouth Bloggers, myself included meet up on a Sunday evening at The Body Shop in Bournemouth town for their very first exclusive VIP event where they opened the shop for us blogger to come and explore all their ranges as well as try out products and receive skin care consultation and make up advice! I have been a huge body shop fan for quite some time now, so I was looking forward to browsing their ranges whilst enjoying a catch up with some blogger friends!
The Men Shaving Range from The Body Shop had a revamp and my husbands favourite shaving cream in a pot has now got Maca Root and Aloe included. They added new products like the calming post shave water gel, mattifying moisturizer (with green tea and lemon) and energizing moisturizer (with guarantee and coffee) as well as conditioning beard oil (which Mr. C. thankfully doesn’t need!). The shaving pot has lasted Mr. C. now nearly a year and I am defiantly going to be purchasing another one for his upcoming December birthday. The Body Shop Shaving Brush is the softest shaving brush I have ever come across and I have been gifting it to all the males in my family! Best of all, all the shaving products are between 8-10£ (bar the beard oil which is priced at 15£).
I never knew that The Body Shop did have such a large make up selection from lipsticks onto brushes, foundations and eyeshadow’s and even a star stamp liner which has a black felt liner on one side and a star stamp on the other! It looks rather cool and it would go fab for any fancy dress make up look you might want to achieve ( I am already thinking ahead of our annual fancy dress boxing day party!).
One thing I have never tried out despite visiting The Body Shop regularly is any of their scrubs so I got a lovely hand massage with a coffee scrub who was a bit off a too strong smell to me but I loved the smell and feel of the Spa of the World French Grape Seed Scrub!
Thank you to all the friendly staff at The Body Shop in Bournemouth for a lovely evening and for the goodie bag I cant wait to try out all the Drops of Youth and Oils of Life samples and all the other goodies! A special thanks to Hannah who did a great job helping me decided on the perfect eye cream as well as the make up lady (I am so rubbish with names I forgot hers!) who showed me the magic of the All In One BB Cream which is a colour adapting tinted cream. It felt really nice on my face especially because it has also got a moisturizer in the ingredient list so I couldn’t help myself but purchasing both products (with a special discount which we have been provided with for the event) and I have been using the eye cream daily and loving it so far it is very cooling and the roller ball makes the application very easy and massages the product in nicely! I also like the fact that you do not need a lot of product so it will last me a while. I am yet to try out the BB again but It will be making its way into my make up bag to bring with me to our October half term holiday!
Disclaimer: I have been invited to attend The Body Shop VIP event through Bournemouth Bloggers and have received a goodie bag as a thank you for attending, but all thoughts and opinions are mine.
