Finn turned 8 year old end of July and asked for a Nerf Attack Party. After sourcing the perfect outdoor Nerf Attack company near us it was time to think about the invites. I love creating something fun and different for each of Finn’s birthdays thankfully I didn’t have to search for long because a fellow blogger friend of mine the lovely Debbie from An Organised Mess who has created the most amazing Nerf War Party Invites for her 7 year old twin boys at the start of the year!
Firstly I made the Invitation using Picmonkey. The font was Base 05 and I used the Nerf Attack Logo of the Company:
Then I started on the Nerf Bullet shells to put the invites in! I have to giveall the credit for creativity to Debbie and that’s why I decided that I won’t do a step by set guide but send you to her original post ‘Make your own Nerf War Party Invites‘ to check out her talent and recreate the Invites! Here are some pictures of my progress of making them:
Mr. C. kindly drilled the wholes for me deep enough to get the rolled up invite inside it:
For the label which I stuck on with a double-sided sticky tape I used Picmonkey again with the Smash Font in yellow plus a black Drop Shadow (which you can find under Effects) with a blue background. I used the original Nerf Logo to get the colour identical which you can do with the pipette button for the colour:
I was pretty chuffed with how they turned out although I should have put a label on them to say that the invite is inside the bullet because some parents where a bit baffled to start with but I received some great comments from some Mum’s and my favourite was when one texted me to say I won this year’s prize for most creative invite I guess I humbly share that price with Debbie who done all the hard work first!
In the next few days I will also publish how to Make your own Nerf Attack Party Bags & Bottles Tags as well as a post about Finn’s 8th Nerf Attack Birthday Party itself where the kids had an absolute blast!
