With the World Cup 2018 in Russia in full swing and our garden having a brand new makeover thanks to my parents who came to visit last week we are ready to practice and learn some news skills with the help of the brand new KickerBall from Sverve Ball. I first spotted this clever ball when I went to Manchester for BlogOnX back in May and just in time to hit the football fever we where kindly send a KickerBall to check out for ourself. Finn might not be as passionate about football like his Dad but he still likes to kick the ball about in the garden especially when his football mad friends come and visit.
The KickerBall is suitable for age 6+ although Molly-May who is 4 had a go with it and even manage to score into the goal so I think it’s a great ball for younger ones too. I love the fact that its very lightweight meaning if Finn plays with the ball in the garden whilst his little sister is there too I feel a bit more at ease with it because he somehow has the tendency to kick the balls up high and with a neighbour on the left who has a garden full of youngsters (she’s a Childminder) and an elderly neighbour on the right side of the fence at least he can’t knock somebody over if he manages to get the ball over the fence (again!)
The unique aerodynamics of KickerBall’s panels means that players can bend, swerve and curve the ball, so the special panels channel the air in ways your standard football can’t. Within the box next to the KickerBall you also get an instruction booklet which shows you 3 amazing trick shots you can learn.
SWERVE! Kick the side of the ball from the left to swerve the ball right.
CURVE! Kick the side of the ball from the right to curve the ball to the left.
BEND IT! Strike the centre with your laces using just the right kicking power to bend it like Beckham.
LAUNCH IT! Send your KickerBall soaring to the sky with a high-powered kick from below.
BUMP IT! Strike the ball gently from below to bump it to other players.
We have a little goal in our garden so Finn had a little kick about with his new KickerBall and I loved the fact that he scored quite a few goals and did not shoot the ball over the fence that’s a big plus for me! He had a lot of fun kicking about and even tried to teach his sister at one point here is a little video montage of him kicking about:
Just a little note: The KickerBall is not a FIFA, NFHS or NCAA certified soccer ball; Results may vary depending on your unique skill level. You should NOT over-inflate as this may cause the ball to deform or pop.
KickerBall by Swerve Ball is an Smyth’s Toys Exclusive and its RRP is £14.99 which I think is very reasonable for a lightweight football who has a few tricks up his sleeve (with a bit of practice that is!).
Disclaimer: I have been sent the KickerBall by Swerve Ball for reviewing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are mine.
