Next month on the 17. June it’s time to celebrate all the fantastic Dad’s, Step Dad’s Uncle’s and Granddad’s out there so I put together a post about some popular Father’s Day Gift Ideas with some practical, geeky and fun gifts to give for that special occasion! I always feel like Men are the hardest to buy for when it comes to Birthday’s and Christmas I always ask around for some ideas! But thankfully I found some very useful gifts which he defiantly can make lots of use for and that will put a smile on his face for sure!
With the purchase of our very first family home last year there is still a lot to do and Mr. C. is always working on something! Currently its all about finishing up Finn’s bedroom downstairs where he has already build a Mid sleeper for him and is currently working on the finer details like drawers and shelving for underneath the bed! He is forever taking my precious funky tape measure which I had personalised with my blog logo (you can check out my review) so I decided it’s about time that he will get his very own! I send Funky Tape Measure my design idea and they created me this super cool tape measure which highlights Mr. C.’s love for Captain America with a little message from his 2 children and his family nickname C4:
Personalised Funky Tape Measure for £10.99
Mr. C. has been asking for a skateboard as part of his ‘I’m turning 50 soon’ Bucket List for a couple of years! Now that he is actually turning 50 this year and with a little help of the nice folks over at Skates.co.uk his wish came true and he is now the proud owner of a super sleek Longboard you can check out the review here: “Like Father, Like Son!” Skates.co.uk does not only sell Skateboards though if your partner is more into Scooters or even BMX Bikes there is plenty of choice to be had!
I love personalised Gifts and over at PersonalisedGiftShop.co.uk there is plenty to choose from! In our Garden Mr. C. has his very own Men Shed filled with his Star Wars Memorabilia, a comfy couch, a piano and all his guitars. So I got him this little silver key ring labeled Daddy’s Shed so he knows which one is the key to his very own hideaway shed:
I am pretty sure I am not the only wife who forever takes their partners keys and wallet and loose change which is splattered all over the house to keep in one space! We have been using a cereal bowl for it on the kitchen counter but to be honest it really bugs me and I have been looking to find something nicer looking for a while now so when I came across this Wooden Double Stash Tray on the Personalised Gift Shop website I knew it was the perfect fit. I love that you can personalise it with your own words so I have chosen Dad’s Stuff on one side and Keys/Wallet on the other one:
Now being German I do like my list and Mr. C. is now at the point where he actually start looking into our family calendar instead of asking me whats on! But there isn’t room in the calendar to write an actual to do list so I picked up this very handy and cool looking cork notice board which I once again personalised with our Family Name and the year we got married to pin all those very important dates and tasks for him to look at and sort out surely he will love me for it even more right??
The kids love giving their Daddy a little present so when Hallmark send me some Itty Bittys I knew that they would make the perfect Father’s Day present for Finn to his Daddy. After all Finn sees his Daddy as a superhero and who doesn’t want to be a superheroes sidekick right?
Hallmark Itty Bittys starting from £6
Hallmark has also got a huge collection of Father’s Day cards available here are some bestselling examples:
Hallmark Father’s Day Cards from £1.25
This one is my absolute favourite and it is the perfect fit for Mr. C.! Finn is now old enough to write some lovely words inside the cards and Molly-May will make it even more beautiful with lots of bright coloured drawings alongside it:

Mr. C. wants to take Finn camping this year and he has got the tent already sorted so I thought this cool Outdoor Sports Comfort Lantern from VARTA (which includes a clever amber light that effectively reduces the number of troublesome bugs by up to 60%) will be the perfect addition to their trip and with Finn still using a nightlight at home to fall asleep its perfect because the lantern also has a night-light function alongside 4 light modes, build in hooks at the top and the bottom, its waterproof and shock proof in case little hands drop it by mistake. It takes 3x AA Batteries which need to be purchased separately.
Varta also has this pretty cool LED Outdoor Sports Flashlight in their range of camping products which will come in handy for any late night toilet runs! It has up to 120 hours of power and up to 310 Lumens, so you won’t need to worry to finding the right tent! The glow-in-the-dark ‘Angel Eye’ material on the head means it’s easily detectable which is handy when your still half asleep! It comes with 3x E Batteries included. My favourite feature and I am pretty sure Mr. C. will agree with me too is on the end of the cap os a handy bottle opener which means one less item to pack in your backpack when you’re heading out in the wilderness for a camping trip!

The Wedding Season is upon us so I thought I could give Mr. C. a little bit of an overhaul in the smart Shoes compartment and had a look at the Dobell Menswear website to see if I could find a smart pair of shoes for him to wear when he dons his suit again for all the happy couples we going to watch make it down the aisle this year! His favourite suit is a slim fit navy number so I thought those Tan Oxford Leather Brogues would be the perfect choice. Dobell also have a huge range of black or even some brighter coloured choices of formal shoes!
