A Royal Visit to see the Queen at the new Peppa Pig World Extention

blogging Days Out Events

Last month we received a very royal invite to come along to the Grand Preview Day of the brand new Peppa Pig World Extension. How exiting! We couldn’t wait to check out the 2 brand new rides and tell you all about it! Because we only moved to Bournemouth a year ago this was Molly-May and my first ever visit to Paultons Park which is only a 40 minutes drive away and a certain little Peppa Pig Fan who got told about our special girly outing the day before could hardly go to sleep over too much excitement that she was actually going to meet Peppa herself!

First off we made our way to the Grand Preview Zone to check out the 2 new fun rides and some new characters from one of Molly-Mays favourite Shows:

THE QUEEN’S FLYING COACH RIDE

The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride takes you on an unforgettable tour of the newly expanded attraction in coaches that are transported by monorail. The ride starts from the top of the Queen’s Castle, another addition and new signature point of the attraction, which offers an impressive bird’s-eye view of the park. Molly-May loved being that high up in the coach looking down to all the rides around Peppa Pig World announcing which one she like to go on next! The Queen’s Castle stands 10 metres tall and is a real focal point for the new area where you can also find The Queen’s Kitchen which is a new catering outlet located within the castle.

GRAMPY RABBIT’S SAILING CLUB

For the second new ride you can hop aboard the boats at Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club, where you can cruise along the new water route around the base of the Queen’s Castle, and discover Pirate Island. The boat spins around in circles whilst going through the lazy river where you can see the Queen and Peppa jumping in Muddy Puddles, Peppa and her Family having a picnic and go past Pirate Island.

All the fun on the new rides made us hungry so we got ourselves some refreshments and Molly-May picked up some cute little Peppa Pig themed Cupcakes for us to have a little break:

We then bumped into a very happy and cheery George and Molly-May got a bit shy and asked Mummy to be in the Picture (or as she likes to call it ‘Selfie’) too:

On the nearly 4 acre site of Peppa Pig World inside Paultons Park there is Peppa Magic everywhere! Next to the nine rides which are Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight, Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Little Train Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip, Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, George’s Dinosaur Adventure, Windy Castle, The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride and Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club you can also go exploring in the indoor George’s Spaceship Play Zone or get some refreshments in the various Kiosk’s, Cafe’s and Ice Cream Parlours. There is also a playground which is perfect for the little ones to have a break from the rides and run around.

Within the Peppa Pig World area there is also the Wave Runner, which is a ride for all the family where you sit in a rubber dinghy and get to shoot down over fast-flowing water. Obviously my daredevil daughter was adamant that we have to go on so off we walked up the high staircase and I was bricking it not being a fan of big rides (and believe me once your up there you know what I mean) the dinghy lifted up in the air twice on the way down and she was loving him whilst I was just glad it was over quickly! Her request to go again was denied and thankfully she agreed to go and have a ice-cream treat instead! Next time daddy can do that ride with her! There is no photo evidence of me probably looking very fearsome so here are some snaps of Molly-May in the pirate ship (which I thought was pretty harmless looking swaying back and forth! That was before I stepped on it straight after having lunch!) she is such a thrill seeker just like her big brother:

Peppa Pig World is designed for children between one and six years old. However, all the rides and attractions have been designed so adults can accompany young children. I think it’s a great Theme park for the whole family and I can see myself returning with Finn and Daddy soon and exploring all the other things on offer in Paultons Park! The Staff was super friendly and very helpful when I approached them and the toilet facilities where immaculate! We had an amazing time and despite only spending time within the Peppa Pig World area and 2 rides outside of it, Molly-May was absolutely exhausted and even had a little nap as soon as I started the car which she hasn’t done for quite some time!

Thank you Paultons Park for inviting us to check out the new Peppa Pig World Rides and the thoughtful Goodie Bag which will be perfect to keep Molly-May entertained for long car rides!

Disclaimer: I have been invited to attend the Grand Preview Event on Friday 11th May to try out the new rides, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
