Molly-May is very much in the copying stage right now and wants to do everything what her big brother, Daddy or mostly Mummy does too! So it comes as no surprise that next to her favourite pass time of getting dressed up she started to ask to have her nails painted just like mummy too! Mr. C. came home the other day with some cheap Frozen Nail polish he picked up from a shop and she was over the moon! But I wasn’t too happy her using it knowing how much toxic ingredients there are and with her only being 3 years old she does still puts her finger in her mouth ever so often! After some research online I came across the company Miss Nella who focused on producing a nail polish that enables little girls to explore fashion safely. I was send a trio of different coloured nail polish to try out with Molly-May who was delighted to have some pampering done and get some pretty sparkly nails again!
Miss NELLA is an odourless nail polish aimed at little princesses in a bid to emulate mummy. The odourless nail polish makes it perfect for those who are of a young age and those who prefer a non-toxic alternative. The toxic trio of Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene and Formaldehyde dominate many children’s nail polishes currently on the market. Such chemicals are banned in Europe due to their links with cancer, birth defects and other illnesses. So you will not find a trace of these harmful substances in Miss NELLA.
We received 3 sparkly glittery nail polishes with 2 pink colours called ‘Sugar Hugs Glitter’ & ‘Cheeky Bunny Glitter’ as well as lovely blue colour called ‘Under the Sea Glitter’! The easy peel nail polish is made from an all-natural, water-based formula so you don’t need to use any sharp toxic removers! It’s a great temporary idea for your little one to have on her nails without harming her! We used the 2 pink colours on her hands and the blue for her toenails. I only applied 1 coat which shows the colour and the glitter inside nicely but with the blue one I would say 2 coats would look better. They dried remarkable quickly and had a very sweet scent to them! Especially the sugar hugs glitter bottle:
After 8 hours of applying the nail polish on her nails and toes I decided to try out how easy they peel of. I was worried to start with that she might be able to peel it off by mistake whilst putting it in her mouth or washing her hands but it did stay put! But please note that there might be splash proof but defiantly not shower/bath proof what the hands concern. After tonights shower we had only 2 of the dark pink coloured nails left and 9 of the blue ones. The light pink ones on her other hand all went off in the shower which is to be expected after all its a peel of nail polish which isn’t long-lasting. I used my own nail to start peeling it off and it was pretty smooth and came off in one piece so no mess at all. It is hard to take pictures of but I hope those images help to show the quick process:
The fun doesn’t stop there though Miss Nella also has a great Mummy & Me series with some peel off MoYou nail polish for Mummy and a matching Miss Nella colour for your little one! Both nail polishes are safe, non-toxic and odour free!
Miss Nella also brought a hypoallergenic, non-toxic and perfume free Make Up Range aimed for the younger girls which includes a lip balm, lip pencil and make up brushes to apply some blushes and eye shadows just like mummy:
The Make up range starts from £3.49 and can also bought in packs of 3 they would make perfect goodie bag items (along side the nail polish) for any girls pampering birthday party!
Molly-May loved the lip balm straight away and calls it her lipstick and I am pretty sure in the future when she is a little bit older she can start using the other products too! But as you can see she hasn’t perfected the art of putting on ‘lipstick’ and due to it being purple tinted (we go the Rasberry Jelly one) you can see where it went (anywhere but the lips in her case!) so I think its better suited for kids a little bit older. Btw. it does clean off hands, the whole face and even hair very well (talking about my own experience there, yes I left her alone with it #Mumfail!)
Miss Nella nail varnish comes in 23 playful colours and is 5.99 per bottle and can be bought individually or in Bundles of 2, 3 or 6 starting from £9.99 as well as a Back to School Collection! Keep an eye our for some great offers on their website too!

How long does the Miss Nella Kids Friendly Nail Varnish last before chipping?
It doesn’t chip but it most likely will peel of if they have a bath and depending how active the child is I would say you get 1 day wear out of it.
