Jo Jo Siwa Bodacious Bow & Microphone Review

Children Fashion Reviews Technology & Gadgets

If one of your kids attends nursery or school you probably won’t have missed the latest craze started by JoJo Siwa who shot to fame after being a contestant on the popular american TV show “Dance Moms” back in 2015. A year later she brought out a hit single called “Boomerang” addressing the subject of online bullying and shortly after she released her signature bow’s and other accessories on the market. Even though she is only 14 years old she is already a huge YouTube star with a huge 4.7 million followers! We where send the Bodacious Bow and the Microphone from her JoJo Siwa Range for Molly-May to try out.

Molly-May loves to dance and sing and especially dress up so she was overjoyed to get her very first JoJo bow which came in her favourite colour pink! The oversized Bodacious Bow clips easily to the hair with a big sized barrette, so you can keep singing, dancing and having fun! JoJo’s bows come in so many fun colours  and even features a colourful hair extension which Molly-May absolutely adores! We tried it on the side as well as the classic JoJo style with her hair half up in a bun to attach the Bow in front of it. MM’s hair isn’t long enough to tie it all back so we probably use it on the side with her hair open instead. I was surprised that even thought the bow had quite a weight to it, it didn’t budge that much when she was singing and dancing her little heart out.

And if that wasn’t enough excitement she now finally can stop singing into her water bottle and use the JoJo Light-Up Microphone instead. The handle is all sparkly and full of pink jewels and there is a little bow attached to the top of the Microphone. It’s the perfect size for little hands and you can use it in 3 different modes:

  • Music mode – the microphone plays a few of JoJo’s famous phrases and also plays her hit single “Boomerang” which is now Molly-May’s favourite new song!
  • Working Microphone Mode – to sing your favourite songs into the Microphone whilst holding the button.
  • MP3 Mode – you can plug it in to your MP3 device and get ready to rock out just like JoJo!

Hidden on the back of the microphone is a little cable which allows you to plug it into your phone/iPod etc. to play it in MP3 Mode:

The working Microphone Mode was a little bit difficult for Molly-May to start with because she forgot that she had to keep her finger on the button otherwise the microphone wouldn’t work. The Microphone lights up in different colours and it requires 2 AAA batteries which are thankfully included so your little rock star can start blasting out tunes right away, check her out my little star and her posing for the camera:

You can check out some of her singing with her new microphone and her pretty bow in her hair over on my Instagram!

The JoJo Microphone and the JoJo Bodacious Bow both have a RRP: of £14.99 and can be found at your local Smyths Toys or online. It would make the perfect present for any little or big JoJo Fan!

Disclaimer: I have been sent the JoJo Microphone and JoJo Bodacious Bow for reviewing purposes, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love the way that you’ve plaited the hair on the bow!! And you’ve got the perfect model for it there 🙂
