Creating my very own Adults Only Space!

blogging Lifestyle

You might have read that Mr. C. got his very own Men Shed in the back garden which is already full of his music Instruments and lots of his Star Wars Memorabilia as well as his beloved 10 year old leather couch (well half of it we couldn’t fit it all in)! We have a very good sized garden and plan to put some work into it over the next couple of years especially at the end where there is currently a large garage. IF I would win the lottery (never say never right?!) then I would love to take down the garage which is a brick building and replace it with a rather large cabin like this one – Go big or go home right?! to create my very own ‘Grown Ups Only’ Space to relax, unwind and have the odd gathering for a games night:

‘The Sigma Log Cabin’ from Tiger Sheds

Starting with the outside balcony I would put some nice recliners and decorate the front with some cool looking light garlands and a funny doormat to greet my guests:

Recliner Chair (The Home Depot) | Coastal Festoon Light Garland from Etsy (Party Postman) | Funny Doormat from Etsy (Wine Wiskers Bowtique)

I would love decorate the inside of my cabin in yellow and grey tones which I think is very soothing and calming (and very much on trent judging by all the Instagram pictures of peoples houses) with a little splash of bright colours here and there with help of some trinkets and Cactuses in funky plant pots:

Flower Plant Pots from Etsy (Noemarin) | Silver Pineapple (H&M) | Sign (Americana Wholesale) | Letter Board (Letter Writes)

On the walls I would put a large size world map where you can have all your special places embroidered like where we got married in Germany, our new family house, where the kids wee born and where we first met, as a extra you can also get some cool (travel themed) pins to show off where you have traveled or where you would like to holiday next:

Personalised World Map from Etsy (The Craft Traveller)

I also would love a print with the lyrics of our first dance as well as a special Quote to me when I first got together with Mr. C. and of course some bunting made out of small pom pom’s & paper ones would look fab on the walls too:

Lyrics Print (The Blue Butterfly Emp) | Love Quote (While Studio) | Garlands  (The Rainbow Barn) Sweet & Savvy Design) ALL from Easy

To round it up I add a stylish grey couch with lots of different patterned pillows as well as a lovely chair with a leg rest plus a nice side table to put my drink down whilst I read a book (I can dream right?):

Sofa (Elle Decor) | Armchair (IKEA) | Side Table (Atkin & Tyne) | Pillows (mixed)

I also would keep it a TV Free Zone and instead have an Amazon Alexa to play music instead! What would you fill into your very own dream ‘Adult Only” space if you would have the room for it?? Do let me know!

This is my entrance post to win 250£ worth of John Lewis Vouchers run by Sarah from Boo Roo and Tiger Too & Tiger Sheds.
