Stuck with what to get everybody for Christmas this year? How about a Subscription Box as a present? It will be most certainly a very unique and nice surprise for the recipient to get a box full of goodies send to their house every month. Most Subscription Boxes can be sent as a one-off gift or as a 3/6/12 month subscription and it is something to look forward to every month without knowing what you actually get! I put together a handy guide of some of the best Subscription Boxes around for everybody to enjoy:
For the Babies:
*Red Elephant Baby Boxes from £25.50
Do you have a new arrival in the family or a friend excepting a new bundle of joy? Then look no further than the Red Elephant Baby Box who comes with the cutes most fashionable and very practical gifts there are for any baby from the newborn stage all the way up to their special first birthday! Every box contains age and gender appropriate items that babies and parents will love.
I received the girl themed 3-6 month Premium Box which included:
a pink cloud nightlight
a supersoft reversible pink elephant blanket
a pink Munchkin fresh fruit feeder (very handy when you start weaning your little one eventually)
a wooden teether with a lovely zigzag pattern on the fabric
a pair of the most gorgeous and soft pink leather moccasins (my favourite item from the box)
a cuddly pink elephant
a super stylish monochrome b&w headband
and a gingerbread teether necklace (oh so christmass-y!)
I love the fact that all the items are high quality products and a great mixture of toys, accessories and fashion pieces. And considering how many products you receive in the box the prices is very reasonable:
The ‘Premium’ box with 7-9 items inside starts at £34.00/month for a 12-month subscription.
£35.00/month for a 6-month Premium subscription
£36.00/month for a 3-month Premium subscription
and £38.00 for a 1-month Premium box
You also have the option of purchasing the standard box which still contains 4-6 items which starts at £26.50. Back when Molly-May was a baby I trialled a few Pregnancy & Baby Subscription boxes and let me tell you they were nowhere near the quality nor the reasonable price tag like the Red Elephant Baby Box! So this one is the perfect present for a little one!
For the Kids;
Fred’s Box from £5.99
Fred’s Box has a variety of mystery fun monthly boxes full of reading books, trading cards, gifts, collectible figures and much more and it’s aimed for children between the age of 3 and 12 years old. There is the Ooshie Sub box which is only £5.99 (for 2 Oooshie’s). Just in case you haven’t heard of them Ooshies are collectible mini figures who can be put on top of a pen to make writing even more fun! Fred’s Box currently have Ooshie’s from Disney Princesses, Marvel Series 2, DC Comics Series 2, and WWE. Then there is the original Fred’s Box (see above picture for a sample box, it’s filled with different fun stuff every month from colouring crayons to toys, collectable figures and colouring books!) which is £13.99 and lastly there is the Mojo Mystery Box for £22.99 which we reviewed back in September and both Molly-May and Finn were huge fans they loved that there was something for the both of them to play with it’s the perfect box to gift for Siblings or Twins check out our review for more detail and to see what was in our box! Most of the Fred’s Boxes will fit through the letterbox, however sometimes (depending on the size of products) its in a larger box.
For Your Mum, Sister, Aunty, Teenager & Your Best Friend:
Love Me Beauty Make up Subscription Bag from £10 (plus P&P)
I have tried a fair few Make Up Sub Boxes before from Glossybox to Birchbox but they all didn’t really float my boat and I found that most items weren’t suited for me. But with LMB you get 60 credits per month (little tip you have to subscribe on the 1st of every month otherwise all the good stuff is out of stock!) and you can choose from normal size products and testers until your credits are gone (although there is an option to buy add-on credits too). So you get 3-6 products to your liking plus a funky small make up bag . I think it’s a great way to test some products without breaking the bank having to buy the full size! I actually prefer tester sizes because there are brilliant for my frequent travelling!
For the Husband, Dad, Granddad, Uncle & Nephew:
*Henry J Socks from £ 5.99 a month
Who doesn’t like socks? Especially if there as bright and bold as those from Henry J Socks who are perfect for wearing everyday or on that special occassion! They offer a monthly subscription service that delivers socks, fresh from the needle and thread, directly to your door! Every month you’ll receive a pair of our snazzy socks, handpicked just for you. I received some funky bright green socks with pink dots all over who most certainly will be a head turned when Mr. C. is going to wear them over the festive period:
They also have a brand new boxer subscription! You can stylize your underwear draw with the Henry J Boxer range who are first-rate and fit for a dandy man’s draw. They possess the very same quirky persona present in their sock range. Supreme quality and off-the-wall creativity, only at Henry J.For more info check out their Boxer Subs section!
For Friends, Family or even Yourself:
*Cheese Posties from £4.65 per post
The ultimate yummy treat comes in form of Cheese Posties! Whats better than your lunch posted through your letterbox every day? When you sign up you get a form send where you can choose between sweet and savoury, exclude ingredients you don’t like or allergic too (like nuts) and there are plenty of delicious veggie options to choose from too! You can decide if you want to indulge; weekly, fortnightly or monthly for your postie to arrive by first class every Thursday morning.
You’ll receive your surprise sandwich, deconstructed into perfect portions ready to build and toast in any household toaster. It includes:
Tasty Fillings (pickles/sauces/jams/meats etc)
& a Collectable Toast Trumps™ Card
In the name of research I of course had to trial some Cheese Posties myself to give you some feedback! I received a sweet sandwich in the form of a ‘S’mores’ Toastie which arrived just in time to cure my hangover from a night out with a few too many cocktails. It was better than the real deal and the mixture of the mascarpone, mini marshmallows and choc buttons on toast was just divine and just what I needed that day! I also got a savoury sandwich which was the ‘Le Pig Magnificent’ Toastie (see picture above) I am a huge brie lover so that mixed with the teeny tiniest of bacon bits and a sprinkle of rosemary was just melting in my mouth with rich flavour! I cannot recommend Cheese Posties enough such a fun lunch idea!
What are your favourite Subscription Boxes? I am always on the look out for some new stuff to try out! I hope my guide helped you find the right present for your loved ones this Christmas or might even given you an idea to treat yourself? Go for it you wont regret it!
Disclaimer: Please note that some of the items marked with a * have been send to me for the purpose of this Christmas Gift Guide, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

its so nice even though its not entirely a surprise because you can choose I am still exited to get it and use it! seriously the toasties are the best hangover cure!!
I love these subscription boxes as an idea for a Christmas gift. I’m so indecisive this year as I don’t need anything so narrowing my choices down is really hard but I love the idea of a beauty subscription gift box!
I cant recommend the LMB box enough I am hoping my OH will read it and get me a 6 month subscription for my birthday again!
I’ve worked with Fred’s Box before and was always happy to receive their products. Always great service and quality products. 🙂
I used to have Glossybox but cancelled as I found I wasn’t using the stuff. I like the idea of Love me Beauty, I may have to have a look into this one! #GiftGuideLinkUp
I would love for someone to sign me up for Cheese Posties! It sounds like my dream subscription!
