Christmas Gift Guide for Girls 4+

Children Christmas Christmas Guides Lifestyle & Gifts Toys & Games

With the start of November the chilly weather has arrived and its most certainly time to get those hats, scarfs and gloves out of the loft to be used again and not only that the countdown to Christmas is on too! With only 2 month to go until Christmas day is upon us its time to share with you what are my top toys for girls age 4 and upwards who are on my daughters wish list this Christmas:

*Peppy Pups – Walking Puppy by Flair RRP: £29.99

2 Years ago Molly-May was mostly terrified of dogs but due to our family owning quite a few now and her big cousin getting a little French Bulldog puppy called Jackson who was followed by his little brother Romeo a year after she discovered her love for dogs especially the youngest one Romeo who is her favourite. Since moving to Bournemouth we have been dog sitting both of them a few times now and Molly-May loves nothing better than taking her Romeo for a walk! We had battery operated toy doggies in the past but they all broke quite quickly so I think the French Bulldog Peppy Pups (who has the same colour then her beloved Romeo) will be ideal for her because there all kid powered , no batteries required!! Peppy Pups love to run, jump and play and go where you go with a spring in their step and waggling tails! There super soft and fluffy coats make them all cuddly and best of all you don’t have to clean up after them!

Smiggle has a huge range of fun and colourful stationery & gifts, from sequins, glitter and sparkle to scented pens and fluffy journals everything what girls desire! Molly-May is a lover of bright and beautiful things so she will love the *Magicool Hardtop Pencil Case (RRP: £12.50) which has an internet mesh pocket and pen holders inside or the *Universe Utility Pencil Case (RRP: £12.50) with the scented badge flap with the super cute deer on the front which also has elasticated pen holders inside, to store her Twin Tip Scented Marker Inkball Pens (RRP: £10.00) – who are water based and non toxic – safe and secure and have them all ready if we are out and about and she wants to do some drawing! Molly-May is currently obsessed with dressing up, hair clips and bows so this *Smile Reindeer Headband (RRP: £6.00) is the perfect sparkly accessory for her to wear with her Christmas outfit! Even though she can’t yet read the time she has started to recognise numbers now so the Watch This Space (RRP: £14.00) Smiggle Watches are a pretty cool thing for her wrist. You display the time digitally when you press the watch face. Its available in fun colours and there are also Mix & Swirl Style watches available.

*L.O.L. Surprise Doll by MGA RRP: £9.99

Back in July this year Series 2 of the ever so popular L.O.L. Surprise Dolls has hit the shelves and kids loved them just as much as Series 1 which Molly-May reviewed earlier in the year! You get seven layers of fun with every L.O.L. Surprise doll! Inside there is a secret message sticker, a collectible sticker sheet, a water bottle charm, a pair of shoes, an outfit, an accessory and a L.O.L. Surprise! doll with water surprise. Feed your doll with the water bottle to find out if she cries, spits, tinkles. Or bathe her in cold water to see if colour changes! Molly-May is into any kind of dolls right now and if they come in a little bag or ball that makes it even more exiting for her!

*Miss Nella Nail Polish by Miss Nella RRP: £5.99 (per bottle)

This child friendly nail polish is perfect for any little girl wanting to have matching nails just like Mummy! Molly-May loves having her nails painted but I am always worried about all the toxic ingredients found in normal nail varnish, with her being so young she still puts her fingers in her mouth occasionally. Well no more worry because Miss NELLA created a odourless nail polish which is made from an all-natural, water-based formula without requiring the use of any toxic removers. It is a save, temporary peel off nail polish and it comes in 23 fun colours! You can purchase them individually or in bundles of 2,3 or 6 packs with lots of seasonal offers on the website! We just tried out some Miss Nella Nail Polish have a look what we thought about it in my Review!

Savannah Classic Dollhouse by KidKraft- RRP.: £140

As mentioned above with her (nearly) 4 years Molly-May is into all shapes and sizes dolls right now and we thought it’s about time that all of her little friends are having their very own house to call home! With Molly-May having the biggest bedroom in the house we opted for the stunning Savannah dollhouse which stands over four feet tall and features four levels of imaginative fun with six rooms and two balconies. It has a working porch swing and a four-poster canopy bed and with it you get a 14-piece accessory pack features exquisitely detailed, hand-painted furniture to fit 12-inch dolls. The dimensions are 32.25″ x 12″ x 49″. We choose this particulate (large) dolls house because you can even play with your barbies inside it that’s how tall the rooms are! I cannot wait to see her face on Christmas morning!

Hatchimals ColleGGtiblesOne Dozen Egg Carton RRP: 25£

After the huge Hatchimals craze last Christmas (thankfully Molly-May was too small to even notice!) this year it’s all about the little siblings of the Hatchtopia Family. There are over 70 adorable Hatchimals ColleGGtibles to collect in Season One, including common, ultra-rare and limited edition Hatchimals to discover. You hold the egg in your hands, rub the heart and when it changes from purple to pink, you know it’s ready to hatch! Gently press to crack the egg and discover the Hatchimal ColleGGtibles inside. You can keep the base of the egg to use as a nest and you can tell which family your Hatchimals belongs to from the colour of the speckles on each egg.

Giggle WiggleGame by John Adams RRP: £24.99 (currently in Tesco for £18.74)

Giggle Wiggle is the twisting, turning, race to the top game! I played this game at BlogOn Xmas and absolutely loved it, it is all about fine motor skills, speed and concentration and its most certainly a game the whole family can enjoy! Starting from the bottom, race to balance the coloured balls on Giggle Wiggle’s hands, as he twists and turns, dancing to the music. But be careful, if the balls fall from Giggle Wiggle’s hands, you’ll have to start again! It’s for ages 3-6 years and requires 3 x AA batteries (which are not included).

Have you started your Christmas Shopping yet? This year I was a bit more organised and started to buy and collect presents throughout the year but I wont wrap and label them until a few weeks to Christmas

A dolls house is also on our list for me 2 1/2 year old this Christmas. I am still trying to decided which one to get though. Wood or plastic. I have been looking at the one in Mothercare as well as on the Bigjigs Toys website.

Smiggle stuff looks great, we have some and it smells amazing! That doll house is serious business, looks really smart. Wonder if my 12 & 13 year olds would still play with one 🙂

I bet you if they would visit Molly-May she would MAKE them play with it and they would (secretly) enjoy it! I use to babysit from a young age and loved nothing else then playing dolls with the little ones even when I was a teenager!

My daughter loves the Hatchimals, thank goodness she never asked for a big one! But I do have a few of the blind bags for her stocking.
