End of last month was our 2. Wedding Anniversary and low and behold after forgetting last years the boy done good and remembered this time (might have been to do with all those subtile hints for the last 2 weeks regarding something coming up, check the calendar!) so I got a very smoochy card and a window box full of flowers…we normally don’t do presents so the flowers where a nice surprise although I secretly suspect he bought them for us both because he always wanted a window box outside the house! So when Bags of Love contacted me to see if I would like to check out their personalised wedding gift section I thought I could treat us “both” to a nice anniversary present too. I love their range which goes from personalised glass chopping boards (something I know Mr. C. would have liked a lot) to pillows, deck chairs, clocks and door mats. But there was another rather unique gift which stood out for me and I thought that would make a perfect wedding/honeymoon or in my case anniversary present for both Mr. or Mrs.! The personalised Kimono Dressing Gown comes either in soft deluxe plush or in a silk sensation fabric and comes in sizes S up to XXL. The print can be on the front and back and you can decided between 5 different collar and belt colours.
I decided on the silk one and after deciding on my favourite pictures as well as our personalised wedding stamp which I thought would go perfect with it and I started to create my very own personalised Kimono. Designing the dressing gown was quick and easy and you can see your finished kimono in design and in the finished product view before ordering. You can add your own text and there are plenty off fonts and colours available. I used the Satisfy Regular font for the Mrs. C. writing on the front.
I of course had Mr. C. in mind when I chosen this present for myself after all he can look at his beautiful wife wearing a Kimono full of happy memories of our big day along side some funny pictures just to get a good measure right?
When the Kimono arrived I was amazed by just how high quality and clear the images were printed on the silk check it out, doesn’t it look fantastic? Sizing wise its spot on and fits me perfectly and it’s just the right length too:
Here you can see some more detailed close up of the printed pictures although my photograph does not do it justice in the slightest it really is stunning:
My favourite part of my new personalised kimono is the Mrs C. print and most definitely the photo of Mr C. doing a “movie scene” kiss in the church (because we forgot to kiss after the priest declared us Husband and Wife oops!) on the back left of the 3/4 length arm:
The only thing I would say is that you have to double (and triple) check to see that your pictures wont touch the seam which is approximately 11cm at the front and 3.5cm on the arms . I stupidly didn’t check mine good enough so 4 of the pictures have the white thread going through them, one has it right through Molly-May’s face (as you can see below) but like I said I just didn’t check it thoroughly enough before sending of my design:
I think it’s a fantastically unique present to gift any bride/groom to be or even your wife/husband and I know every time I wear mine I will remember all those special memories we made on our big day and it will make me smile over and over again!
You can create your very own personalised Bags of Love silky smooth Kimono for £69.00 on their website.
