Well what can I say other than my 4th time attending BlogOn was as fabulous as all the other times (although it didn’t top the Winter BlogOn last year which I still haven’t written up oops!). Laura and her team has pulled out a good one once again and made sure that everything was covered from the most amazing cake (the drumstick flavour was out of this world!) to the friendliest PR’s and some super interesting workshops to attend through the day at the Manchester Science Museum.
After getting picked up from our designated driver Kara (Chelseamamma) we collected Charly (POD Cast Dove) and Sara-Jane (Keep Up With The Jones Family) to embark onto our road trip which ended up being 7 hours long due to a huge accident on the M3 thankfully there was good company and great chats to be had until we finally arrived at our hotel in Ashton. After a change of clothes we headed out with another few bloggers to Nandos for a bite to eat before attending the Pre Launch Party kindly thrown by Paladone for some of the BlogOn Attendees the night before the real deal. Catching up with Jen (My Mummy’s Pennie’s) and meeting Clare (Clare’s Little Tots) who decided to be brave enough to make me her room buddy for the night even though she has never met me before which was very kind! Thankfully we “clicked” right away and we had rather a lot of fun on our way home from the party (when we found a podium abandoned on the side of a bridge) and early morning for a lift selfie even after oversleeping before heading into Manchester for BlogOn MSI:When we arrived at the Manchester Science Museum I bumped into my “old friend” (who is actually younger than me) Cora 1 of the 2 bloggers who i got to know at Winter BlogOn who didn’t believe me that I was actually german (she is still not convinced now haha) She vlogs over at her Mini Millionaire YT Channel and the photobomber aka Polly (Polly Mixtures) and I also manage to get a ‘German Weaner’ Snap with The Happy Weaner 2some Claire and Lucy who call themselves a recovered Fish Finger Burner and scared of the kitchen although it looks to me their cooking up a storm for their 2 cute boys:
I can’t NOT talk about the cake! Everytime I attended BlogOn so far I think Laura cant do any better than last time surely well this was my favourite one by miles a drumstick cake with *holdyourhorses* actuall drumstick flavour I just had to be quick because Fran from Whinge Whinge Wine was pretty hungry and scooped up quite alot of plates filled with cake or she might have just fancied playing waitress for the day? who knows! Once I finally got that slice of delicious cake I went and joined Nyomi (Nomi Palony) for a little chat turns out she lives very close the lovely Karen (Monkey Footed Mummy) who was dearly missed by both of us! This is why I love BlogOn so much because you bump into people who you have been watching for quite some time on Instastories and you somehow get on straight away! I also got a chance to hang out with Danielle (Blog By Baby) and we managed to get quite a few funny pictures taken together! Thanks to Playtime PR for the funky Photoboot it was so much fun!! Oh and I had my nails done by a lovely nail technician whats not too like. I might also have had another little cheeky (but tiny) little cupcake from the Three Stand whilst I was chatting to the Ladies it would have been rude not too right? Not that I have any pictures to show for but I did also attend some really interesting talks from Harriet’s (Toby&Roo) Instagram to Promoting & Advertising your blog by Tim (Slouching Towards Thatcham) I was gutted to have missed the Facebook chat who was (so I heard) brilliant too! I felt that this time there where alot of newbie bloggers and new faces attending which I think just goes to show that this conference is really for everyone and it gives you great ideas for the future! I had the pleasure of meeting the very lovely Ruth (introduced to me by my “blogger crush” Rachel) who blogs over at That Funny Mummy and definitely couldn’t pick a better blog name she is super sweet and has the most adorable twin boys check out her blog and give her a like!
Because it was my first time since the rebranding of my blog going to a big blogger conference I had to think of something very special to show off my shiny new blog name! Thankfully the lovely people over at Zippi gave me a helping hand and created this super cool phonecase for my phone with my new logo on:
