Its not long now until I will be heading up to Manchester for the most anticipated and fun blogger conference once again! This will be my 4th time attending BlogOn. Back in 2015 I went to BlogOn Winchester. Then I took my first trip up north to attend BlogOn 2016 followed by the brand new Winter BlogOn later that year (which I never got around writing about but it was definitely the best one yet). I have no doubt that BlogOn 2017 will be just as fun as last year so I am more than exited to be joining it again! So here is my Icebreaker for you all to check out:

Describe yourself in three words
I say what I think, funny and sometime I am a bit too “German”
How long have you been blogging and what made you start?
I have been blogging since April 2013 so just over 4 years now and I started it because I love writing and wanted to start a diary for the kids to look back in many moons to come!
What was the inspiration behind your blog name?
I guess you could say my recent wedding prompted it? If you want to hear a more in-depth explanation you can have a read on my post “How did I come up with The German Wife”.
What is the best thing to come from your blog so far?
Awesome Friendships and some pretty cool events& opportunities for my family and I.
Your most remembered thing from your childhood
Our amazing (large and loud) family parties/get together!
Something interesting you might not know about me is . . .
When I was 21 years old I came to England to work as a nanny but mainly to get to know my german great aunty (who was diagnosed with cancer a few years prior to that) I always intend to stay for about 2 years ago but that changed when I not only had 2 lovely years with her but also with her grown up children and their families. And it just so happened that within that time I have fallen head over heels for my Mr. C. who is also my 2. cousins husband! Talk about “keeping it in the family” ey?
Which social media platform best describes your personality and why?
Instagram I guess because I can share picture snippets of my life even if there aren’t always perfect!
What is your happy song?
The Foundations – Build Me Up Buttercup whats not to like!
What is your favourite alcoholic drink
Pina Colada
What is your favourite cake?
Marble cake which reminds me of my Godmum Mia
What is your favourite takeaway dish?
oh that’s a hard one but I think Duck and Pancakes is the winner for me
Where is your dream holiday destination and why?
I would like to visit the Fiji Islands, my parents have been there and said it was like a dream!
What would your superhero name be?
The German Superfly – not entirely sure why? Maybe because of my recent Pier Zip Adventure?
If you had a magical power, would you want to have and why?
Time travel to go back to my favourite moments with my loved ones who aren’t around anymore!
What one weapon would help you survive a zombie apocalypse?

If you could send something into space, what would it be?

What would you have on your gravestone?
I don’t want a gravestone because I would like to be cremated but on the small plaque it could read my name and maybe “You have my hand, my heart and my soul” cheesy I know but if you read my About Us Section you might understand.
You make headline news around the world in 2 years time… but for what reason?
Probably the wrong ones knowing me! ha!
If an EMP wiped out all mechanical forms of transport, how would you get to BlogOn?
