Its getting proper cold and frosty now and all around is the winter jackets, hats, gloves and scarfs are well and truly out of their boxes and back to be worn daily now, so its only fair to treat your feet who do most of the work to something warm and cosy (but still stylish) too. Thankfully that’s something Hotter could help me with when I popped into my local store the other day to have a little browse around!
I absolutely love the colourful range of all of the assortment of shoes and handbags in store, I was always under the impression that Hotter is more aimed to the older generation and its all about comfort but how pleasantly surprised was I and I couldn’t have been more far-fetched with my thinking. Yes Hotter is most certainly all about comfort but style is pretty important too and they most certainly nailed that too. Most shoe shops displays in the winter month are navy, black and dark brown but not Hotter who most definitely stand out from the crowd and surprise with some colourful teal, plum and lovely bright tan colours. All the shoes are made in the UK in their Lancashire factory which is the biggest shoe factory currently in the UK.
I didn’t really know what I wanted and after seeing my lovely blogger friend Sadie from Tiaras and Wellyboots in her snazzy burgundy Mystery Boots I was pretty certain my mind was made up that I want exactly the same style but maybe in a different color. That was until the lovely manager Jo from the Uxbridge branch asked me to choose a few more so I can try some on and see how I like them. I am normally really picky and 9 out of 10 times I end up with the product I have chosen after browsing the website beforehand but I thought why not if I am here already let’s get some other boots a try:
- Belle Boots in tan – they come in black too but the tan option has a wide leg which is what I need with my original Bavarian calf’s. I never worn such high boots because my rather big proportioned calf’s so I was pretty surprised that they fitted perfectly and looked rather fantastic too!
- Mystery Boots in tan – they also come in black, chocolate, burgundy and truffle and they feel like walking around on air. There are the most comfiest and softest boots I have ever tried on! No wonder every blogger I know is raving about them!
- + 4. Vanity Boots in dark teal and black – I am normally not a heel girl at all but those short boots have rather chunky but still fab looking heels who make it really easy to walk in (yep, I am one of those can’t walk in heels person!). The zip detail on the side make them look very trendy and the pillow soft cushioning and deep foam padding makes you feel like walking on clouds.
It was a pretty hard job deciding which I like the most! Place 3 went to the boots I probably would have worn only on special occasions with a dress so they had to stay in the shop to look pretty for their new owner. The runner-up where super soft but just didn’t have the wow factor for me!
So I present you with my Winner:
Sorry for the little John Travolta inspired reference in my text. I am rather happy with my chosen boots and want to sing it out loud! Are you still hunting for the perfect ONES for you to keep your toes cosy this winter? Then head over to the Hotter Website and check out their full range which is full of great choices! I would totally recommend to go in a local branch (check out their Store Locator) to get some great advice from the Hotter Staff who definitely know it all when it comes to shoes!
