The cold weather is definitely kicking in now and it’s time to get out those hats, gloves and a cosy nice winter coat to keep you warm! So when Boohoo got in touch with me to ask me if I would like to choose an outfit from their new BoohooKids range I was more than happy to take them up on their offer and kit out Finn with some nice new warm winter gear!
Upon browsing the website I wont deny that I was swayed by looking into the girls section of the kids range too but Molly-May is only in 3-4 years clothes so mostly it was too big for her anyway. The boys section did seem a little less stocked up on clothing in comparison to the girls one but its all brand new so I am guessing there will be plenty of new items added to the line very soon!
Ordering my items and navigate through the Booohoo website was very easy and the ordering process was straight forward I even manage to bag a 1.50£ next day delivery code which was up on the page for a limited time on that day!
I bought a padded Winter coat (22£) with a faux fur hood attached to it as well as some Joggers in grey (10£) and Finn chosen a Cobweb T-Shirt (6£ 4£) and I also choose a 5 pack of colour contrast Socks (4£).
What we thought about our BoohooKids Clothes:
Sizing can be an issue because every brand is different and with Finn being a very tall 6 year old we always order him size 7-8 years to assure it will fit alright. The Winter coat was a perfect fit for him and the Joggers although fitting on the waist had a bit of extra length to the bottom which he can grow into it no problem! I was disappointed by the fit of the cobweb tee which with it Halloween inspired look isn’t really the right thickness (it was a very thin material) when it comes to an Autumn/Winter range and in my opinion it had more width than length to it so I can’t see it fitting Finn for long which is a shame. The prizing on the BoohooKids range is pretty good if you think that all the above cost me only 40£ (plus the 1.50£ delivery) that’s very reasonable! Here he is modelling his new BoohooKids clothes out in our garden and he looks rather dapper if I can say so myself:
Unfortunately we where a little bit unlucky with the Winter coat and had to send it back due to it showing some faults after only a few days of wearing it, but the return with Boohoo and the refund was hassle free and quick so I was able to choose a contrast Long Island T-Shirt (£8 £4) as well as a rather cool red checked Tartan Check Shirt (£12) to be delivered to me again, which will be the perfect combo for the upcoming festive season. I would have loved to order the same blue winter coat again because i absolutely loved it on him, but it was already sold out in his size!
The BoohooKids range is defiantly very trendy and even thought I loved all the stylish clothes from the Boys section, I felt like the Girls one is more suited for older children i.e. 9 years and up due to the style and slogan t-shirts! Not being a teenage parent (just yet! I still have quite a few years to get to that stage) I can’t really judge what other parents would or wouldn’t buy their girls when it comes to the latest trends which seems to be slogan tees and cropped tops right now.
I love the fact that Boohoo offers plenty of cheap delivery codes who are running for 1 day only for example next day delivery for 1£ which I think is great because if you only want to order a small amount of items sometimes delivery prices make me rethink of ordering or if you are in a hurry the codes are certainly helping out a lot!
