My German Surprise (Hen Do) Spa Afternoon

Hen Do's Wedding

My Cousins and me have been talking about having a little German Hen Do ever since they fond out that we are getting married in Germany so my lovely Cousin Nicola who was also my MOH took it on her to organise something. But she said its all hush hush and i am not allowed to ask any more question about anything. that was about 6 month before the wedding. Around Easter Time when I visited again for my Godfathers Funeral she told me that it’s prob not going to happen because everybody is busy and I have to be honest I was a little bit gutted because I love every single and rare cousin meet up I have although I did reassure Nicola that’s it’s completely cool and I understand.

So the Sunday before the Wedding my cousin already told me she will come over to chill a little bit, my mum just said to me that I should not invite anybody else because it’s so close to the wedding and she wants me to calm down a bit and forget about the last minutes bits. A few hours before I was due to pick up Nicola to drive back to mine my other Cousin a Christina texted me asking me what I am up to because her boys are out and her sisters might pop over in the afternoon.

After checking with Nicola if she is up for it and talking to Mum if she can watch the kids we found ourselves on the way to Christina’s.

Little did I know what they have planned for me a afternoon full of relaxation, healthy snacks, fruity non alcoholic cocktails and a few other surprise to come!

I seriously didn’t get it until everybody arrived I did think it was strange that she dished up cocktails with lovely straws because that was a first from our usual cousin meet ups! So when the secret was revealed they told me all about the girls who didn’t make it and have me a few little presents and then they started one by one to pamper me!

I was one lucky bride to be!

From a foot massage to a facial to getting my nails painted and then they made me dress up as well!

Little did I know that I had to go out in my tutu headpiece and braut banner and a bunch of lovely wild flowers (home picked from my aunties garden) because they whisked me away to my all time favourite meal! All you can eat Sushi!

Now you think it’s not a big deal but believe me you might dress up in the full hen do gear and walk down the streets in the UK but in Germany they normally keep it more low key!

So all exited as we where we took 2 cars to the restaurant and me without checking just went to the only one I knew and after 15 minutes of waiting Anne and me decided it’s time to call her sisters to see what took them so long! Well turns out that we went to the wrong place haha but they just jumped into the car and came over and we had the most delicious meal and a fun evening filled with laughter and silliness!

Thank you Nicola, Anne, Christina and Julia for being such fabulous Cousins and letting me forget my wedding planning stress for a whole day!

I love you lots!!
