After attending BritMums Live end of July for 2 days my roommate Jo and myself decided to finish off the busy weekend and treat ourselves with a evening of fine food and drinks at the recently refurbished Scoff & Banter Restaurant in Kensington.
Scoff & Banter, Kensington, has been stunningly updated with reclaimed furniture and fittings, intricately detailed high ceilings in keeping with the listed building, and elegant yet welcoming
bay windows. At one with its neighbourhood, the restaurant design is created to encourage interaction and a sense of stylish comfort, with high sharing tables and a private dining room, perfect for intimate dinners, events and family gatherings.
We arrived about 30 minutes earlier then planned but our friendly waiter Luke had us seated
right away. For the first course Jo choose the Soup which was rich and nice in flavour whilst i went with the Prawn Cocktail which is one of my favourite Starters but i haven’t had it for ages. The Prawns where very tasty and the sauce had a little spicy kick to it (not too spicy just right).
It was a tough choice to decided between all those delicious sounding meals, i nearly went with the salmon but decided on the Pot roast chicken which fell off the bone and tasted divine. I wasn’t hugely taken by the layered potato’s but the carrots where tender and sweet. Lucky for me Jo let me have a taste of her choice of main which was Barber vintage cheddar and shallots turnover and the most AMAZING champ potato (potato mash) it was creamy, fluffy and we both agreed it is the BEST we have ever tasted!
After some recommendations from our friendly waiter Luke, for our third course of the evening Jo went for the Scoff & Banter Favourite which is the Raspberry Eton Mess, which she thought was light, fluffy and had just the right sweetness to it. I on the other hand indulged in not only a Cambridge burnt cream (which is a creme brûlée if you wondered) which was rather delightful but also tried out the a very refreshing non alcoholic Apple Pie Cocktail
(and had a bit off Jo’s Eton Mess as well, oops i couldn’t help myself!)
Our evening at the Scoff & Banter Restaurant which is situated within the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Vanderbilt in Kensington was more then delightful.
The Service was made excellent by our very friendly and attentive Waiter Luke
who made us feel very welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and our stay at the recently refurbished Scoff and Banter and I can see myself returning in the near future for their delicious sounding Afternoon Tea!
After a quick chat with the new Manager of S&B we got told that they just started doing Sunday Lunch which is getting popular very quickly!
This Restaurant not only charms with its contemporary and classic interior but offers a fantastic menu choice to wet anyone’s appetite and i would most certainly recommend it to my friends and family!
