Once again just like with our German wedding invites we didn’t really want to go with the big standard invite which reflects our colours and theme of the wedding because honestly at the time when I sent out the invites I still wasn’t a 100% sure exactly what I want. I have already sent out the Save the Date
We knew from the start that we wanted some plane tickets for our English & American Guests and have another design for the German guests.
Sourcing a design (which we both liked) took a few weeks, so when we finally found Jenny from Ever After Occasions who was selling her Plane Ticket Wedding invitations we thought it will be all plain sailing from then on but hey how wrong was I!
Wording – gosh what a pain that was we obviously had to have some quirky demands and added a fair few unusual things onto them! After all we just don’t do “normal”!!
Instead of the Luggage Tag which is the RSVP card we decided on a bigger card which had written a little mad libs personalised to us (found the idea on Pintrest) to make it a bit more fun!
The Invitation came in 4 parts. The Wedding invitation, a information card and the RSVP card all together this was put into the ticket holder which had our stamp design from the Save the Date cards on the front:
They turned out lovely and as an extra touch we ordered some airmail envelopes to make it blend in with the plane ticket theme!
Stay tuned for the second lot (and more drama) of invitations story coming soon!
