Degustabox January

Food & Drinks Reviews Subscription Boxes
A new year and a new and very healthy January Degustabox arrived in our House the other day.

No sweets in sight just what i am after so i can concentrate on my #OpfitBride.

Lets start with some baking/breakfast goodies:

#1
This free-from versatile cake mix helps you make your favourite cakes without sugar and flour. Using our mix as a base, it’s simple to make cakes for everyone to enjoy with a clear conscience. The mix contains sesame flour and Fibrefine instead of wheat flour, and we have replaced the sugar with Sukrin. The result is a delicious and tasty cake that’s big in flavour but small on the ingredients you want to avoid!
#2
Cornflake Top Porridge pots are brilliant for on the go and with some additional little pots of either Lyles Golden Sirup or Nutella they can be sweeten up just to your right taste!
I like my porridge a little bit more together but thats personal taste i guess.
Onto the savoury bits from the box:

#3
Alfa One Rice Bran Oil is nutritionally well balanced and a very healthy oil to cook with. This is Mr. C. favourite Product from this month Degustabox so much so that its nearly finished already!

#4
I have to say i haven’t eaten Noodles out of a Pot for quite a while but the Kabuto Noodles
are rather delicious with real authentic Asian flavours and just the right kick (just on the edge of being spice) they made a very tasty lunch for me!
They are available in seven different flavours.

#5
Not a big fan of mustard i past this on to Mr. C’s brother to try out and he rather liked the taste of this Haywards Piccadilly which has chunky vegetables in a tangy mustard sauce which makes the perfect addition for any BBQ’s, burgers or sandwiches.

#6
Those crunchy FINN CRISPS Original crisp bread made me smile as soon as i saw the name well i couldn’t help it with my son being called Finn too!
They are made from wholegrain using only natural ingredients so they are rich in fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I had them as a in between snack throughout the afternoon with a little bit of honey smeared on top and loved them!

And last but not least the drinks selection for this month:

#7
Having tried the Little Miracle Organic Drinks before (from previous Degustaboxes) they have become my favourite drinks to be picked up when i do a quick Tesco shop I prefer the White Tea version to the Black Tea one but that’s just personal preferences i guess. They are very refreshing and a great energising drink!

#8
Simplee Aloe is an all natural, never from concentrate Aloe Vera drink. It is blended with fresh grape juice and a squeeze of lemon and i was surprised how lovely and refreshing it tasted. I certainly felt the goodness in me! No kidding i love this drink and can see myself buying it regularly!

#9
Magners Light Orchard Berrys i was so looking forward to giving this a go and rather impassioned me put it in the freezer to cool it quicker….and forgot about it! Result its all in the freezer cupboard and i can only imagine it would have tasted lovely!
Its a Irish pear cider with berries and it contains 30% less calories than Magners Orchard Berries, with the same distinctive character and refreshing taste of Blackcurrants, Strawberries and Raspberries.

#10
This month gift came from Clipper in form of their Fairtrade Green Tea with Lemon.
Its a light, crisps and highly refreshing green tea with a delicious lemony citrus zing.
Certainly a tea which would be perfect to kick start a diet, clean eating or a detox!

#11
Koko Dairy Free Original is a unique alternative to cows milk made with freshly pressed coconut milk. It contains fewer calories then skimmed, 0% cholesterol and its 100% allergen free.
It taste a little different to normal milk but having had i with my cereal in the morning i rather enjoyed it to be honest and its great to know there is something tasty out there for kids with a dairy free diet.

With the Degustabox you have the variety of a alcoholic or non alcoholic box so it would be a choice between #8 simply aloe drink and #9 Magners Light.

Overall we liked 10 items out of the 11 in the Box and it certainly help me trying out some healthy and less calorie products out so thank you Degustabox!!

If you want to hear more about Degustabox head over to their website or check out
