Molly-May’s Moments – Eight Months

Family Life Molly-May
Crawling – oh yeah 2 weeks ago she started crawling and there is no stopping her, the last few days she realised that she can actually crawl all around the flat into Finns room and join him to play with his Octonauts toys!
Up Up Up – that’s all she wants to do when she sees a toy on Finns train table, the couch or even checking out the toys on her walker (dangerous is know i wish they did stoppers for those wheels!!) she is now constantly wearing little leather shoes because otherwise she would slip on our wooden flooring.
Giggling – I never known a baby giggling so much then Molly-May does. If you ask her something (not that she would answer) you will get to 90% a giggle as a answer which Is adorable. And Finn has the magical giggle power he  only needs to look at her with one of his funny faces and she giggles away!
Weaning – We are now on 3 meals a day, she loves everything from Greek yogurt to meat, snacks and vegetables and in the evening she loves her fruity porridge!
Hello there! – Last week or so she started to wave more frequently but just when she feels like it
Breastfeeding – I am happy that we are still going strong and we both enjoying it. She does have the occasional bottle when she is with Daddy which she takes just as fine as my milk.
Teething – I really hope that there will be a tooth soon the last 3 weeks we had fever, sleepless nights as well as her struggling with her cold and cough all of those together wasn’t a fun mixture and i am certainly looking forward to see something popping up very soon!! I do feel that her Amber Anklet does help with the teething a lot and my best advice for any parent with a teething baby is get 2!! we always seem to loose them in PJ’s, tights, socks or sleeping bags or when we out and about (but thank god they always make their way back into our hands after a few days!).
Routine/Sleep – 3 Meals a day every 4 hours some milk and 3 – 4 snoozes throughout the day and we have a happy little lady. Although i haven’t set a routine with her at all she is now (after Finn finally starting long hours at school) starting to fall into her own little schedule off a 30 minutes nap around 9am a long lunch time nap around 11.30-12ish for a few hours (preferably in the carrier) and a afternoon nap around 4ish for around 1/2 hour to 1 hour.
Bedtime depends on her afternoon nap but mostly she is happy to go to sleep around 8pm.
In the nighttime she started to wake up more often now mainly due to her teething i guess and i think she does like her boobie dummy a little bit too much so in the near future we will sort out her bedroom so she can go in her own bed/room soon which hopefully improve her sleep again.
Likes/Dislikes – Next to exploring everything what finds its way on the floor she absolutely loves her Fisher Price Crawl Around Car and she discovered that when she is in her Walker she can play with the Animal Magnets (see picture below) on the bottom of the fridge.
We are having a hard time getting her to sleep in the buggy when we are out and about, she is very fussy when it comes to buggies (i wonder where she got that from??) and so far she only seems to have liked sleeping in our holiday companion the bee3 (review coming soon!).
Weight  – I have to admit i haven’t been to the Sure Start centre to get her weight since she was 3 months old but even though she’s only turned 8 months those 6-9m clothes are starting to getting tighter and she has been wearing a few 9-12m clothes already. I need to start getting her clothes out of the garage soon because i overbought a little bit thinking i didn’t have enough and then all of a sudden a few more bags appeared from the garage!
