Piper – Not Your Average Security System

Events Home & DIY Lifestyle

Whats better then a afternoon filled with lovely Bloggers in a great location, amazing food, refreshing (non alcoholic) drinks, fabulous company and hearing all about the brand new Gadget called Piper which is certainty NOT your average Home Security System.

When i first read about Piper i thought it will be a new modern twist on a baby monitor which only has the base and the rest is all done through a App on your Apple or Android Device.
Well how wrong was I?!!
When i arrived at the Piper Launch i was greeted by the founder of this amazing new gadget,
Russel Ure who gave me a run down on how Piper actually works.
Starting with the HD Panoramic camera which has a 180° fish eye lens
where you can check out most of your room, from the ceiling to the floor
and right into every corner of your room.
With your Piper App you can receive customised alerts like a phone call, text message,
email or a push notification to let you know what is going on in your house.
From opening the door to movement in the house.
Piper also allows you to talk directly to occupants via the two way audio.
There is even a panic button with a 105 decibel siren for emergencies.
So if you are at home, at work or on holiday you can be safe knowing Piper is in the house
keeping watch for you.
Piper can also tell you and control the home temperature, humidity, ambient light and sound of your home. Its like your very own Butler, right?
I really like the fact that it looks more like a speaker and with its movable metal legs it is a great looking design which doesn’t scream out: “hey, I am a camera”!
I think with its very reasonable price of 119£ Piper will soon establish itself with the British home owners.
I personally cannot wait to try it out very soon and won’t be sad to throw out our rather expensive and mostly not even functioned Video Baby Monitor in favour of having Piper installed. At least i will have no more dodgy signal and cutting out of the screen as well as only having a few of Molly-May’s legs because she moved around in the cot again.
The Piper which comes in either black or white can be purchased in the Piper Store for 119£ where you are also able to get some add ons such as door/window sensors and smart switches.

This has to be the most relaxing and fabulous Launch i have been for a while. Which certainty was helped with the attendance of the lovely Piper team and my fellow Bloggers: Lauren from Mummy is a Gadget Geek, Zoe from Mama Geek, Donna from Redhead Babyled and Lauren from Belle du Brighton (as well as Lilinha from Lilinha Angel’s World who had to leave before we took the picture)

Disclaimer: I was invited to attend the Launch of Piper but i was not asked to write this post, all opinions and thoughts are my own.
