The inventor of the award winning Gummee Glove has just brought out a brand new teething invention for tiny little hands called The Gummee Glove Anti Scratch Mittens.
This is was Gummee Glove have to say about their new product:
The Anti Scratch Mittens are designed to fit newborn Babies up to 3 month.
The surface of the mittens are covered in spots of silicone to soothe young gums.
They are fully machine washable and come in a choice of 3 colours.
This is what we thought about it:
When Molly-May turned 2 month she started showing first signs of teething (which wasn’t a surprise to me because her brother got his first tooth with 9 weeks young) so we tried out the Anti Scratch Mittens on her.
The fit: I like the fact that it has a Velcro closure which makes it easy to securely put them onto those tiny little hands but their where already a tight fit (and she hasn’t got the biggest hands being a girl)
The texture: Unlike Finn (and lots of other babies i have been looking after) who loved anything rubber like in his mouth from a very early age Molly-May just didn’t like the silicon spots which are all over the mittens so whenever i put them on her she just stopped trying to put her fingers in her mouth. We did play this game for at least 1 month but she just didn’t warm up to the idea of putting the gloves in her mouth. Which is fair enough after all there are mittens to prevent newborn babies to scratch themselves but unfortunately the added on feature was wasted on our little princess.
Overall i think its a product which could work for most babies, although i think the product could improve slightly with it being made bigger.
Here some Pictures of Molly-May testing the Gummee Glove Anti Scratch Mittens when she was 2 month old:

You should check out waterproof teething mittens. They are made much larger and no silicon dots 🙂
