Well its no secret that i love all things coming from Finland after all my son is called Finn ;o). And my lovely Sponsor for this years BritMums Live is from Finland too i think the Finnish people just have cool baby stuff and clever ideas which is finally coming bit by bit our way!
So when i discovered the Almondella Boxes i was very exited to be offered one to review and share my thoughts with you all.
Here is a little bit what Almondella have to say about themselves and their Boxes:
Launched 2 years ago Almondella is already a huge success across most of Europe and has now arrived here is the UK! This exciting gifting concept is set to change the way new parents go about discovering inspirational new brands for themselves and their baby.
Whether you are a new mum yourself or looking for the perfect gift for an expectant loved one, trying to find that special something isn’t always easy. With so much choice and new brands coming along all the time it can be very overwhelming to know which brands to trust and which products to choose from. That’s where Almondella comes in. Almondella have done all the hard work for you, scouring the whole of Europe to seek out the most stylish and practical products from all the best designers before carefully hand-picking the most thoughtful gifts tailored to your baby’s age and delivering them direct to your door each month in a beautifully wrapped box.
Almondella have created 36 baby boxes with the most beautiful selection of care products, toys & clothing each of which has been thoughtfully put together to take you through all your baby’s developmental milestones.
Each box contains up to 5 products and has a retail saving of up to 50%.
Almondella boxes make the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one, especially if they are living abroad. The boxes can be delivered anywhere in Europe completely free of charge.
You simply need to pick a subscription of 1, 3 or 6 months, tell Almondella the baby’s gender and age, or mother’s due date, and then sit back and wait for your Almondella box to be delivered.
Subscriptions start from £37 a month. You can even do a trial box for just £12.
Here is what i received in my box and my thoughts about the contend:
First of all the Almondella Box itself is nicely from the outside with the squares all over the parcel and the niceness doesn’t stop hidden behind a lovely wrapped up in thin paper with a sticker on the top where those goodies (sorry there are no pictures i was too exited and couldn’t wait to open it quick enough can’t even blame it on Finn because he was at Nursery:
Natural Sunscreen by Aubrey Organics – This 118ml sunscreen without scent is ideal for children and adults with sensitive skin because Finn and me are both prone to eczema this water resistant (for up to 40min) SPF 30 cream is ideal for us this summer. (15£)
Tom Activity Cube by Lilliputiens – This gorgeous cube with its lovely warm colours will be a great little Toy for Molly-May and i love the fact that its not gender typed (if you are a regular reader of my blog you might have notice my slight dislike to the colour pink) and it features a rattle a pop up animal little knots and flaps and a mirror. Dimensions are 12x12cm. (16£)
“Lukas” Striped Long Sleeve bz Iglo & Indi – This adorable stripy Top is super soft (100% cotton) and check out the detail which gone into it (separate picture below) i choose size 6-9 month and i cannot wait to put her into it funny enough i just recently bought some yellow leggings in that size too which would make a very nice outfit for her. (24£)
Post Cards by Joutomaa – I have a thing for postcards and i love the fact that the added sweeties go really nicely with the ballon on the printed card. The creator of those Postcards Reeta Isotupa-Siltajen’s dream is to tell stories that make the viewer smile and think at the same time. I do love when you have a postcode with a meaning behind it. (3£)
It is the little details that count and i absolutely love the green little logo and the green stitching on the Iglo & Indi top:
Overall my box came to 58 Pounds in total which for 37£ a month is not bad and unlike other Prescription Box Services i have seen over the last year it actually has every item spot on for the age group Molly-May will soon be in!
I think this would make a fab present for a Mum to be for her baby shower or a birth present and because you can choose what age you want the box items to have its even suitable for a christening, first birthday or even a Christmas gift!
Disclaimer: The Almondella Gift Box was send to me free of charge for reviewing purposes however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
