Yesterday we checked out the Clarks new iPad Foot Gauge which they launched at the Clarks store in Westfield.
Only a 30min drive with the car i decided to brave my first trip with both kids on my own and surprisingly we had a brilliant time thanks to the lovely Clarks Team who made our afternoon very delightful.
Here is what Clarks have to say about their new foot-measuring experience:
Clarks are taking shoe-fitting innovation to a new level with the launch of a brand new iPad foot gauge. The revolutionary new fitting gauge will be used to measure children´s feet in-store, and to give both parents and children a fun and interactive consumer experience.
The Clarks iPad Foot Gauge is a radical new measuring device that combines over 270 years of shoe fitting heritage with state of the art design innovation. The new device uses a footplate to measure foot length and a special digi-tape to measure foot width. This size information is then relayed to the iPad add, presenting an instant shoe size guide that Clarks trained fitters use to find perfectly fitting shoes for each child.
When we arrived Finn aka Superman was asked to take his shoes off and pop onto the Gauge where he was greeted on the iPad with “Jack Nano” (for the Girls there is Daisy) the animated Clark Character who was asking Finn how old he was, he waved to him and made some moves whilst loading the correct Shoe size. A perfect little entertainer who keeps the kids occupied whilst the app measures their feet.
The lovely “Clarks Lady” as Finn called her, also measured Finns´s Feet width with the digi tape and typed the information into the iPad app.
Here is the result “Jack Nano” told us that Finn is in between a 9F and 9G. Trust my son to have a odd in between sizing!!
After our presentation of the new app Finn enjoyed a nice afternoon treat and had fun playing at the Lego table and running around the store to annoy the Staff (who where pretty chilled about it, thank god!).
He was also showing off his flying skills to Jimmy who is RocknRollerBaby Ruth´s adorable Son who was very amused by it (and went into the box himself later on too):
Clarks recommend to get your child’s feet measured every 6-8 weeks because they grow so rapid! We will certainly be returning to the store to get some summer sandals soon and then just before September we have to sort Finn some big boys School Shoes out where we will be no doubt have fun with “Jack Nano” again!
If you want to know more information regarding the iPad Foot Gauge why not head to their Facebook or Twitter Page to ask the Clarks Team your questions they are more then happy to answer them for you!
