What´s the best hiding place?

Family Life

With Christmas dooming around the corner and me nearly finishing the Christmas shopping there is just one question once there all wrapped up nice and neat: Where do i hide them now??

Not such an easy task, normally i have a big plastic box labelled Xmas Presents (so i can store my bargain finds from throughout the year) on top of my double wardrobe in the spare bedroom but this year just as we speak the spare room is empty and currently being painted so its all fresh and nice for my mum to come over in the new year when Blob arrives.
Out we chucked the double wardrobe and it will be replaced by a taller single wardrobe, but not for another week or so.
With us living in a 3 bedroom flat with no storage space what so ever its tricky to find somewhere to hide it:

Under Finns Bed?
– too risky he might decided for a midnight clear out to see what there could be down there!
Under our bed?
– we recently replaced our 4 poster bed with plenty of storage underneath with a smaller double which is very low so no chance there and its already packed to the max with all my clothes.
In the wardrobe?
– i wish! i am glad if i can fit my clothes in there although we have a triple wardrobe next to the clothes its filled up with towels, duvets, baby presents and everything else i manage to get in there.

So i decided to clear out all the newborn stuff (anything but clothes) out of my single wardrobe in our bedroom and store them in bags behind the balcony door curtains so i got 2 shelf’s stuck up with Christmas presents.
But i had to put them in a bag and wrap them in a duvet just in case Finnster decided to open my wardrobe door and thinks he can help himself! No risk taken!

I am certain once he gets older the hiding the presents in the wardrobe thing wont do anymore and i seriously have to consider better (higher up) hiding places, which will be even more tricky because by next year they wont be a spare room anymore with 2 little ones living under our roof!

Where has been your best hiding place for your Christmas presents?? Do tell me i need inspiration for the upcoming years!

AK xx

Sometimes you have to just make space. I don't know what I'd do If I didn't have mums she was kind of forced too but donated a room in her house for pressies. We always forget when we visit and the kids walk in there luckly they are all covered up 🙂
