Not your average Christmas Tree Delivery!

Christmas Family Life

Yesterday the Boys went out late afternoon to get a Christmas Tree yes i know, shock, horror we STILL haven´t found the time to get one i feel really disorganised this year with trying to get the kitchen done and we painted and rearranged the spare room to ready for my mums arrival end of January to be there for Blob´s birth.

Anyway out there went just after 5pm…. i finished cleaning the flat even done the dishes, stuck on a Christmas CD on the DVD player and waited…..and waited….and waited…. it has gone past 6, 7 and even 8pm now and i did text Mr. C. but got no answer and he didnt pick up his phone.

I was worried the Tree´s where all sold out! Or they decided to go to Narnia to find the best one, no seriously you dont take over 3 hrs to head locally to get a tree right??

Well just after 8pm there was a knock on the door and instead of Finn and Daddy i was greeted by my Parents!!!

Instead of him going out to get a tree he only went to the Airport to pick them up! (for anybody who don´t know i am originally from Germany)

My Mum and Dad have been planning this for a few months and even Mr.C. keeped it silent from me and he’s normally not one to keep a secret very well!! Well except the proposal surprise!

All that agreeing with me that i want the kitchen and the spare room done before Christmas because i don’t want the stress in my last month of my pregnancy of building and painting works going on, wasn´t because he understood me, no it had a way better reason!

So we sat down to have some food, german food to be precise my Mum and Dad brought some proper german bread, cheese and some homemade Jam from my Grandma which Finn absolutely loved!

Then all of a sudden there was a knock on the door again, no clue who want something from us at 9pm i opened and let out a massive scream! Why you wonder??

Well let me show you a picture i took shortly after :

Yep thats right! Not only i got my parents here, i also got the lovely Meck Family who are old and dear Family Friends of us in my living room.
There is a little Story behind all of them wanting to visit us, basically my parents, my cousin (only 1 missing today!) and the Meck Family came to visit us pre Finn on Christmas 2008 for 10 days what started off as an idea of my parents coming ended up being a full house of 11 people in our 3 bed flat!

So this year the Meck´s decided to ask my parents if they fancy a reunion trip to England to surprise us because with Blob arriving soon they wont have another chance soon (unless we win the lottery and get a massive house that is!) and to make it more fun they showed up 30 min after mum and dad first surprised me.

Oh and my parents didn’t tell Mr.C. About them coming he only learned about it at the airport!
5yrs ago we had them ALL stay under our roof (2 triple bunk beds and 2 double beds and the couch!!) but this time the Mecks decided to book into our localpub guest rooms down the road.
So for the next week i will spend Christmas time with my parents and the lovely Meck Family!! Amazing i am absolutely overjoyed and happy that they are all here!!
Oh and we are off to get the Christmas tree tomorrow morning just in time to celebrate German “Bescherung” which will happen after we return from a nice walk in the afternoon (the Christmas angel will bring all the presents in the meantime).
Merry Christmas everybody!!

AK xx
