We recently had some friends come over for a play date and they brought along a belated Birthday Present for Finn. Because his friend Leon loves anything to do with clocks he decided on his recent visit to their local Kiddicare Hayes Store to choose this lovely little Clock Puzzle from Buzzing Brains for his mate Finn:
Finn is really into Puzzles right now and he is starting to learn counting at Nursery when it´s Snack time the children sit on the table and count together how many children are on the “blue group table” today.
Mr. C. thought he will make the Block Clock even more interesting for Finn and started using it in relation to his previous Potty Training (which we cracked now YIPPEE!!) as the “Smarties Clock”.
Once Finn does a Number 2 into the Toilet he knows that he is allowed 2 little smarties and although he never ask for the treat after going for Number 1 anymore he does occasionally remind us that there are smarties to be had because he’s such a big boy now going to the toilet all by himself.
So Mr, C: hides 2 smarties underneath the puzzle pieces and Finn needs to start counting until he can spot a piece of the blocks being higher then the other ones. He then needs to tell Mr. C. underneath which number the Smartie is hidden. This is repeated with the 2. Smartie the same way.
Eventually we will swap the Smartie with something non eatable like a coin or similar little item.
But for now Finn loves to use his new Toy and learn at the same time!
You can buy your own “Buzing Brains Block Clock” from Kiddicare for only 7.19 Pounds over here.
Disclaimer: Finn received the Buzzing Brains Block Clock from Kiddicare as a present from a friend but we enjoy it so much so i thought we share our love for this product. All thoughts and options are my own.
