Since Finn was born in Summer 2010 and even before hand with some of my children I looked after I always used the hair clip and muslin/jacket/’whatever-piece-of-fabric-I-could-find’ -Method to darken their carrycots or pushchairs whilst they had a nap when we where out and about!
Example A:
Finn loves his sleep, defiantly something he got from both daddy and me ;o) and can easily go up to 2-3 hours at lunchtime.
Due to my job as a nanny we are often out and about and i always try to get him down for a nap in his buggies.

Last summer the lovely people from SnoozeShade where searching for fans to review a brand new product which was soon to be put on the market.
They improved their original SnoozeShade and created the SnoozeShade Plus which features a “snooze panel” to darken out the viewing window for your little one to have a peaceful nap on the go.
Some more details about the SnoozeShade Plus:
– one size fits all single strollers
– all the SnoozeShades products are made out of breathable mash fabric
– quick to fit, easy to remove and folds up small to go in your basket
– the sneak-a-peak zip allows you to check on your sleeping beauty/prince without disturbing them
– provides 80% shade for your baby when the lookout window is open
– blocks out 94% of light to create a cosy sleep environment
– provides UPF50+ sun protection (when the snooze panel is closed)
– can be used from birth until approximately 4 years
And here are some pictures on our Maxi Cosi Noa and Maclaren Pushchair:
I could see such a big difference in our outings with the SnoozeShade Plus on his buggy Finn slept an overall 30-40 minutes more then the few times we stupidly forgot to bring it with us on our days out.
UPDATE:
Talk about multifunctional Item!! Finn enjoyed a long 2 hour nap in the car the other day thanks to our SnoozeShade Plus:
The award winning SnoozeShade Plus can be purchased for 29.99 Pounds which in my eyes is a very reasonable price to pay! happy sleeping child = happy mummy
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this product to any of my friends and i got stopped various times on outings in Central London to ask what the name of my blackout blind is called.
You can also get loads of other SnoozeShades: for your car seat, twin buggies and even for your travel cot. Have a look at the Snooze Shade Website to check out all the other fantastic products on offer.
Disclaimer: The SnoozeShade Plus was send to me free of charge for reviewing purposes however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
