Now that we are moving both children will attend the same school which will make life so much easier! Finn in year 2 and Molly-May will go to the pre-school so it is about time that I up my game when it comes to labelling school clothes. Don’t get me wrong I did label most if Finn’s uniform but that was easy because it was just 2 jumpers a couple of shirts, trousers and polo shirts but ever since MM has attended Nursery I somehow didn’t really make a big effort labelling ALL of her casual clothes. Well that is changing right now thanks to the help from My Nametags who have kindly send me a set for each of the kids from their Colour Sticker name tag range, how cute are those sleeves they came in?? (who also have some instructions on the back, guess who didn’t read them? More about that mishap further down below):
Designing you very own labels couldn’t be more simple and straight forward. First you add your child’s name into the 3 lines (max. of 15 characters per line) then you can choose between 6 fonts and a font colour with a wide range of colours. Then it’s onto the icon which isn’t short of choices either from zodiac signs to sport, nature, animals and toys (and a few more) you can find something for everybody! And lastly you can find the right pattern to finish of your sticky name tag design with a whole lot of patterns available the perfect one is only a click away. There is an extra feature called Recommended which shows you some recommendations what goes best together in case you are struggling to choose! You get 56 stickers per pack and postage is only 1£. My Nametags also has some funky Hello Kitty and Mr. Men designed in their range of labels and next to the coloured stickers they also sell Colour Iron-On’s and some Black & White versions. They are the perfect allrounder for clothing, stationary, fabric, shoes or even for your baby’s beloved comforter which every parents fears to lose at one point!
What we thought about our designed My Nametags Colour Sticker’s:
I like the fact that they offer you 3 lines so you could always add-on important things like a phone number, a postcode or even a short message regarding allergies (for example NO NUTS!) and 15 characters are handy when you chosen to call your child a double barrow name or have a rather long surname (both of those apply to my kids!) The Nametags are very versatile and so far have been put on shoes, lunch boxes, drinking bottles, clothes, new school uniforms, PE Shoes, pens and pencil cases with the help of little hands. They are the perfect size for any clothes labels! Just in case you are curious: for Molly-May I have chosen the Font: Child’s Hand with purple font colour, a butterfly design and the stars pink 1 pattern. Pink and purple are her favourite colour, she would have loved a unicorn (maybe one to add to your collection soon My Nametags??) but was pretty delighted with the butterfly too and the font was soft and very girly which I thought looked cute:
Finn got the typewriter font with white font colour, a space shuttle icon and the rays blue pattern after all he loves rockets and anything to do with space and I thought the font looked very cool:
I also did the washing machine test and I am happy to report IF you read the label which comes on the back side of the sleeve where your stickers are sent out to then you wouldn’t do the rookie mistake (like I did, oops ) of just putting the sticker on the fabric itself but onto any kind of label your clothes item has on the top or near the bottom, it does stay put, result!!!
You can design and buy your very own My Nametags Colour Stickers for only £11.95 plus £1 P&P from their shop OR if you are feeling lucky why not enter my Competition to bag yourself a set:
Good Luck!!
