Now don’t get too overly exited this is NOT a pregnancy announcement BUT something way bigger and better for the 4 of us which will be happening very soon! It is something we have been wanting for a very long time and it looks as thought it’s finally going to happen! Well we had quite a few busy years:
2010 Our firstborn Finn arrived after keeping us waiting for 42 weeks!!
2013 Mr. C. went down on 1 knee in front of a mere 3.000 people to ask for my hand of marriage.
2014 We where blessed with the whirlwind daughter of ours – Molly-May!
2015 Sold our Flat, Moved and had a massive Big Fat German Wedding (all within 2 months)
2016 We took a breather and enjoyed some great times with our families!
2017 Is the year where we finally are putting down our roots as a family of 4 and move into our very own House!!
We have been searching high and low for the past year for the perfect house and after an unsuccessful 7 month’s search in Buckinghamshire local where we are right now, which was filled with either overpriced or completely disastrous building sites of a so-called house we decided we have to venture further out and consider other areas within an hour of Mr. C.’s work at the airport. So we checked out Reading, Thatcham and Bracknell but nothing really caught our eye. So when Mr. C. asked me if I would consider moving to the seaside I thought he was crazy and there would be nowhere nice within our tiny budget, but turns out there is and we are pretty exited that after a few “dream houses” along the way falling through just before Christmas last year we got an offer accepted on the perfect house which is 100% US and we are thrilled to be moving to the seaside in the next couple of weeks so we will be saying:
We will be calling Bournemouth our new place of residents and we cannot wait to see what awaits us. Its a pretty big move not only to a new house but also a new county which includes a new school/nursery for Finn and Molly-May and hopefully new friends along the way. We are lucky that we already have some family living here for the last few years in form of our Niece and her fiancée. It even expired after we told them about our new house that it’s in the exact same road then my Niece’s future Parents in Law what a small world we live in!! Finns new school (which also has a in-house nursery for his little sister) is 3 streets away (a 10 minutes walk) from the house and we cant wait to walk, scoot or bike to school every morning, no more school runs stuck in traffic for me YAY! We also found a Beavers Class for him which is 1 road down and there is a Leisure Centre, a Library, Shops and a lovely little park all in walking distance. I even found a german playgroup in Christchurch which is on every 2 weeks! With all the insider knowledge like doctor surgeries, dentist and where the best take away place is (very important info!) handed to us by the girls we nearly have everything sorted. I am also very lucky to have found a fantastic source for all my thousands of questions I had when we first started our property search in form of my fellow Blogger and Bournemouth local Kara who blogs over at Chelsea Mamma & Are We Nearly There Yet? without her help I would have been lost and I am are very grateful for her help!
So here is to our new Family Adventure and lots of happy years ahead for all of us!
I am off to pack up all those empty boxes anybody got any moving tips for me?

Cannot wait for you to arrive so I can show you around – it is a gorgeous place to live and Finn will be at Beavers with Eliza 🙂
oh wow how cool! I saw pics of Eliza in her Beavers Outfit but didn’t put 1 and 1 together that they might be going to the same one! Finn cant do the st. george parade but will start the week he is starting his new school!
Congratulations! I’m sure you will have a fab time, it’s nice living close to the seaside (albeit a bit colder here as we are up north) We have just had an offer accepted on a house too and will hopefully be moving in the next couple of months- only 5 minutes away for us though!
Thank you Kiri! Hope your buying process will be as easy as it just possibly can! good luck!
Don’t pack it all at once. I went room by room. I hope you picked up enough boxes. And remember, don’t waste money and heavy duty boxes. Just tape the bottom of the boxes a thousand times.x
I am still in the sorting stage rather then actual packing, oops but somehow I gained more boxes so so far i didn’t have to buy any t thankfully! I am too precise I am doing it not only room by room but also per category! x
