I am not a big believer in making New Year resolutions because lets face it they don’t last long and its a bit like Valentines day why show your love with flowers, cards and presents on the 14th when you can do it 365 days in the year?
So this is why I wont be jumping on the band wagon and will just carry on as normal. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t have plans for the Year 2017 oh no quite the opposite! For example I want to finally have some nice eyebrows so after seeing some bodies results on a FB beauty group I am a member off I decided to give it a go and rub that castor oil on my brows every night to help them grow, exiting huh!!
Now onto the more serious stuff, there is plenty to look forward to this year starting with my Dad turning 60 a day before my birthday and with him celebrating it big family style I cannot wait to share his special day with all my loved ones!
Our little family of 4 is having some very exiting plans for ourselves as well its all about putting roots down and making something big our own, I hope I can you more about this very soon!
Last year shortly after we came back from our late summer holiday in Mallorca we booked an amazing 9 day All Inclusive holiday to beautiful Malta (in the middle of the summer holidays this time – ouch to our bank balance!!) with some friends who have the same age boy and girl whom we met through Finn’s school and get on really well. We wanted to do a holiday with family or friends last year but it didn’t turned out as planned I have a post about that holiday coming very soon! So in prep to our Malta holiday I decided to look after myself a bit more. I wont have a magical extreme transformation ala #BikiniBody but I can take some steps to ensure I am healthier and if possible maybe even fitter with ditching my 4 coke cans a day habit. I don’t intend to go cold turkey so over the last couple of weeks I started to leave small bottles of water around the house to remind myself to drink and allow myself 1 can of coke with my dinner per day. Ditching the snacking habit and getting outdoors for walks and maybe doing some fitness in the park is still in my head but not really out there yet, one day I will get there!
Anyway that’s enough rambling from me I wish you all a very Happy New Year with or without new resolutions I hope you and your family have a fantastic 2017 with lots of happiness, fun, adventures and laughter and I thought I leave you with a picture of my dearest daughter eating her way through our “forgotten” gingerbread house (isn’t it pretty!) which we build only 10 days after Christmas, as you do! But it was still tasty as you can see:
