So last week Monday i went to see my Midwife and guess what i actually meet the “real” one this time the one who is assigned to the Doctor Surgery but somehow always was absent or busy when i had my Appointments the last 8 months of my pregnancy.
Blobs heartbeat as well as my BP was all fine, it still measured 4 cm too big so i was 40 weeks in measurements. But its still breech no change there.
Not sure what it is with me and Midwifes but i put them into 3 simple categories the good and the bad and the average one. With Finn i had the bad one all the way through my pregnancy i just didn’t get on with her, with blob my “replacement” & the new MW last week was average so i was ok with that but obviously you feel more in ease if you get on with your MW.
Just a few words who got stuck in my head with me:
– you have a choice but actually you don’t have a choice
– if you don’t get the ECV (turning the baby) done then you will have a scheduled C-Section with 38 weeks
– there is no chance the baby will turn after 36 weeks because its bigger then average!
Fair enough a MW should be optimistic and not paint the sky blue BUT with her i had the feeling that she was all for the “easy” options which in her perspective is a C-Section no positivity at all regarding the possibility i still got over 5 weeks to go for Blob to maybe turn.
Yesterday i went to have a Acupuncture Treatment known as Moxibustion. Here a little more Info about it:
Moxibustion involves the application of a smouldering herb (mugwort) to specific acupuncture points or problem areas of the body. It is considered especially effective in chronic conditions. However, it has many uses, one of which is turning breech babies!
I am hoping the treatment will work and in the meantime i am off to scrub the floor on all fours now as well as all the other tips my Midwife friend gave me when i meet her the other day!
Turn Blob Turn!!!
